The establishment of Saraswati Vidya Niketan, Karimganj on 26th day of January 1997 was the beginning of a mission of the local people as well as Karyokartas of Vidyabharati, especially Sri Pankaj Singh, former organizing secretary, Shikhsa Vikash Parishad, Silchar and Dr. Kamalesh Dey, Child specialist, Karimganj. This was patronised by so many distinguished and dignified personalities of Karimganj Town. The mission of 1997 was brought to reality by a long journey of 16 years to fulfill the objectives of Vidya Bharati as well as aspirations of the people and now a days this institution is a center of socio-academic conciousness in Karimganj town and other districts of Barak region.

Saraswati Vidya Niketan, Karimganj was founded on 26th January 1997 with the aim of promoting and propagating the ideals and objectives of Vidya Bharati. Our vision was to develop it to a model vidyalaya, Where people from all sections of the society would join and make it a social institution. The Acharjya and vidyarthi and abhibhabaks would remain as arms of the same triangle to keep alive the Bharatiya culture and tradition through education.
Education is the essential ingredient that keeps the wheels of progress and development of a person running smoothly. Primary aim of education is to upgrade one's life and humanize it. The youth of a country are the leaders and trend setters of tomorrow. It is imperative that the youth be targeted to develop their physical, intellectual, spiritual and patriotic dimensions in order to be effective and useful for the nation. In the words of Swami Vivekanand, "Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in a child". I am very glad to find this school progressing in a tremandous rate and by this web window I hope this can connect to the globe of knowledge.
Bearing in mind that education is the only tool that uplifts the standard of society, there is a very wide prospect behind providing education by Saraswati Vidya Niketan Karimganj. The school has vision of becoming source of knowledge strengthening the people, not of revenue collection. The school has already arranged best infrastructure, faculty, modern tools and methodologies to course delivery.
I am very glad to extend our journey with advanced world by the first web window for our school. It gives me immense pleasure to present the updated website of Saraswati Vidya Niketan, Karimganj. Saraswati Vidya Niketan is a premier school run by Shiksha Vikash Parishad, Dakshin Assam affiliated to Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan which offers quality education from primary level to higher level. Apart from teaching we give special emphasis on cultural development of the students here. The medium of instruction is bengali upto class X and English upto XII.
To develop such education strategy which can help in development of mentality which can lead to complete physical, mental, intellectual, spiritual development keeping respect towards Hindutya culture and the Nation.
To develop such education environment that can overcome and treat the infected social environment. To develop mentality that cries for the rurals, tribes, poor and needy and help them eagerly without the expectation for any return.
